Citibank Debit Cards For Citigold Members

Amy Last updated on March 18th, 2025

Citibank’s gold debit card options offer people a huge range of extras that can add value to almost every aspect of a cardholder’s lifestyle.

Not only does Citibank have some great standard account options with Visa debit cards, for people looking for more premium banking services there are exclusive Citigold services.

This exclusive banking option is available to Citibank members who have $100,000 or more in deposits or investments with Citibank and includes benefits such as a personal relationship manager who can assist with banking and investment needs.

The gold debit card that comes with being a Citigold member will also give people even more access to their money, with an increased withdrawal limit, emergency healthcare access while travelling and Global Banking benefits.

With a focus on international banking, Citibank’s Global Banking program is ideal for people who travel a lot or who are looking to relocate. Gold debit cardholders only need to show their card in one of the 34 countries where Citibank operates to get access to premium services, including:

  • Complimentary access to Citigold Centres and use of business facilities at over 500 Citigold Centres around the world
  • Free Citibank global transfers to another Citibank account in participating countries
  • Pre-arrival account opening for selected bank accounts and credit cards when relocating
  • Preferential foreign exchange rates when you exchange up to US$5,000 or fund of equivalent value
  • Withdrawal of up to US$10,000 of emergency cash while overseas

As well as providing these advantages for banking, a Citigold debit cardholder will have access to exclusive offers and discounts in Australia and around the world.

The Citibank World Privileges program, for example, lists special offers on dining, shopping, sports and more that can be searched by category or location and accessed by Citigold members at any time.

There is also access to an events site that offers inside information on upcoming events, preferred seating programs and exclusive booking offers so that gold debit cardholders can get as much out of their card as possible.

While very few debit cards come close to offering the extras of a credit card, with a Citigold debit card in hand you can get convenience and exclusive offers almost anywhere in the world.

What are the key differences in features between my Citibank gold debit card ( Mastercard ) and a Citibank debit plus card ?

Hi David, Citibank Gold Debit Card and Citibank Debit Plus Card are two different types of debit cards offered by Citibank. The Citibank Gold Debit Card is a premium debit card that offers a range of extras that can add value to almost every aspect of a cardholder’s lifestyle1. On the other hand, Citibank Debit Plus Card is a fee-free transaction account with debit card access for your everyday needs23.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any specific information on the differences between these two cards. However, I suggest you contact Citibank customer service to get more information on the features and benefits of each card.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Gregory, this product doesn’t exist in the Australian market as a debit card, it was superseded by the Citibank Plus Account.
